About Mei Mei Philadelphia
Mei Mei is Old City's destination for Modern Asian Cuisine β where bold, craveable food meets an atmosphere designed to be felt as much as tasted. Led by Chef-owner Jay Ho and Executive Chef Montana Houston, the menu draws on global Asian flavors rooted in Philly and elevated technique, resulting in dishes that feel both familiar and entirely their own. From signature fried rice and family-style entrees to wok-tossed lamb chops and fresh seafood, every plate reflects Mei Mei's commitment to quality ingredients and creative vision. The experience doesn't stop at the table β weekend DJ sets, a full craft cocktail program, and an intimate downstairs lounge make Mei Mei as much a destination for a night out as it is for an exceptional meal.

I visited for the first time to celebrate my motherβs birthday, and overall we had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, we were seated quickly, and both our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. The drinks were good, though the food portions and menu selection were a bit smaller than I expected. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with a gorgeous aesthetic and a lovely ambiance. I do think the music could have been turned up just a bit to enhance the overall vibe. They also make birthdays and special occasions feel festive with sparklers, which was a nice touch. I was a little surprised there wasnβt a complimentary birthday dessert, and itβs worth noting that a service charge of about 20% was automatically added to our final bill. Overall, itβs a beautiful establishment with great service and a nice atmosphere. With a few small adjustments, it could easily be an even better experience.

We chose this beautiful restaurant for our Father's Day celebration and were incredibly impressed by the stunning decor and fantastic music playlist. We arrived shortly after opening, which meant there weren't many other customers present. While our server was very friendly, service was a bit slow at times, starting with a 10-minute wait just to be greeted at our table. Instead of individual entrees, we shared several plates. The Short Rib Lo Mein was delicious, and while the Mei Mei Fried Rice was okay on its own, the addition of the thick sweet soy sauce we requested took it to a "10"! The Ribeye Egg Rolls tasted like the typical cheese steak egg roll but featured great meat quality. The Taiwanese Chicken Wings tasted like classic buffalo wings, and the Spare Ribs had fantastic flavor (though some bites were slightly tough). The deviled eggs were simply average. We also had a few alcoholic beverages that were tasty, including one that was on the house in honor of our Father's day celebration. I would definitely go back again. It is also worth noting that gratuity was already included, a fact that I almost missed upon receiving the bill. Parking tip: On-street paid parking

I recently visited Mei Mei in Philadelphia and had one of the best dining experiences Iβve had in a long time. The food was outstanding, the cocktails were creative and balanced, and the entire atmosphere made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. The highlight of the experience was CK behind the bar. Itβs immediately obvious that he genuinely loves bartending and has a real passion for pairing food and cocktails. He didnβt just take drink ordersβhe asked questions, made thoughtful recommendations, and explained how certain cocktails would complement different dishes. His knowledge and enthusiasm elevated the entire meal. What impressed me most was his level of hospitality. Even during the busiest moments, when he seemed to be making drinks nonstop, he still found time to check in with guests, make sure everyone was enjoying themselves, and answer questions. Somehow he managed to make every person at the bar feel seen and taken care of. Great food and drinks will bring people in, but exceptional service is what makes them come back. CK provided exactly that. If you visit Mei Mei, I highly recommend sitting at the bar and letting him guide your experience. It turned a great

We were a family of four and everyone absolutely loved everything that we ordered. The food was seasoned just right, fresh, flavorful and hot. The appetizers, main meals and desserts were among the best weβve experienced. Customer service was excellent and a BIG shoutout to Dennyza! The restaurant was very clean and the dimness added to the soothing ambience. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Came here for a birthday celebration and overall had a good experience. The ambiance and decor were beautiful and definitely a great spot for a date night or special occasion. Our server Briana was very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Since it was our first time here, she took the time to explain the menu and even asked if we were celebrating anything which I appreciated. The host however, couldβve been a little more welcoming. We started with the Wagyu egg rolls which were decent but a bit dry. For entrees, we ordered the Braised Oxtail Lo Mein and the lamb chops. The oxtail lo mein was delicious and full of flavor. The lamb chops were flavorful but we ordered them medium well and they came out more well done than expected. We ended with the chocolate cake for dessert. It tasted a little store bought but it was still a nice touch that they brought it out with a candle for the birthday celebration. Overall, good food, great service from Briana, and a really nice atmosphere.
